Before publishing: every highlighted value is a placeholder. Fill them in and have this page reviewed by a lawyer or the company owner — this document is a well-structured starting point written to describe how the app actually behaves, not legal advice.

This policy explains what Sumesphere ("we", "us") does with information in the FitPilot iPhone application ("the app"). It is written to describe how the app actually behaves.

The short version

The app has no accounts and no servers. Your profile, training plan, workout sessions, logged sets and body measurements are stored in a database on your iPhone. The app does not request network access, so there is no route by which that information could be transmitted to us or to anyone else.

Information the app holds

Profile information

Your name, date of birth, height, biological sex and unit preferences, entered by you during setup or optionally prefilled from Apple Health. Held on your device.

Training information

Your goals, schedule, experience, equipment, generated plan, every workout session and every set you log, plus any notes you attach. Held on your device.

Body measurements

Weigh-ins you record, and weigh-ins imported from Apple Health if you allow it. Held on your device.

Account information

None. The app has no sign-in, no user accounts and no user identifiers.

Apple Health (HealthKit) data

If you grant permission, the app reads health and activity data from Apple Health on your device. It is read at the moment a screen needs it and is not copied into the app's storage, with one exception: weigh-ins are imported, because body-mass values are used to calculate BMI, suggested starting weights and the weight chart.

If you permit it, the app writes two things back to Apple Health: workouts you complete, and weigh-ins you record in the app.

Data read from HealthKit is never used for advertising, never sold, and never disclosed to any third party. A full breakdown of each data type and its purpose is on the Health Data page.

How information is used

  • To generate and adjust your training plan
  • To record and display the workouts you complete
  • To calculate progress figures, streaks and personal records
  • To suggest starting weights from your body measurements
  • To display supported Apple Health metrics and their history

Information is not used for advertising, profiling or any purpose unrelated to the features described above.

Data storage

All app data is stored locally on your device in an application database, protected by iOS file protection and your device passcode. It is included in an encrypted device backup if you use iCloud Backup or a local backup — that backup is governed by Apple's terms, not ours.

Data sharing

We do not receive your data, so we cannot share it. The app transmits nothing. If you use the export feature, the resulting file goes wherever you send it, and that destination's own policies then apply.

Third-party services

The app contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting services and no third-party trackers. The only system service it integrates with is Apple HealthKit, on your device.

[Confirm before publishing: add any service introduced later, such as analytics or subscription billing.]

Data retention

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. Deleting the app removes its database. You can also delete everything from within the app at any time.

Security

Data is protected by the security of your device: iOS data protection, your passcode, and Face ID or Touch ID where enabled. Because nothing is transmitted or stored on a server, there is no server-side breach that could expose it.

Your rights

You hold your data directly. You can view it, export it as a file, and delete it — all from within the app, without contacting anyone. Where laws such as the GDPR or CCPA grant you rights of access, portability or erasure, these features are how they are exercised.

For anything else, contact sumesphere@gmail.com.

Account deletion

There are no accounts to delete. To remove your data, use Profile → Delete All Data, or delete the app. Revoking Apple Health permission is done in Apple's Health app and takes effect immediately.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under [Minimum Age], and we do not knowingly collect information from them. As no information is collected by us at all, any data belonging to a child remains solely on that device and can be deleted there.

International users

Because your data stays on your device, it is not transferred across borders by us. Where you travel with your device, your data travels with it and nowhere else.

Changes to this policy

If the app's behaviour changes — for example if a future version adds an optional service that transmits data — this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the effective date above will change. Material changes will be surfaced in the app.
